My daughter was nearly run over yesterday. Her fault? Entirely. She deliberately ran into the path of an oncoming car, amongst the squeal of tyres. However, this was to snatch a wandering 4 year old toddler from certain death, whose mother hadn't quite worked out what responsibility actually meant. I'm cross with her for the risk and enormously proud for the deed. If everyone were to act more selflessly on a regular basis, the world would genuinely be a better place. Health & Safety needs putting back in the box, and common sense and courage need bringing out again.
